About this part
Granite runs the unglamorous but non-negotiable part of a modern car: a hardware-partitioned safety island, certified to ASIL-D, physically isolated from the general-compute cores that run infotainment and driver-assist perception on the same die.
AEC-Q100 qualification and a fifteen-year field-life target shaped nearly every decision on this part, including our choice of 7nm over something denser — we wanted three full product generations of characterisation data on the node before betting a safety island on it.
In production for two OEM platforms since last year; a third design-in is in the validation phase now.
