About this part
Talus runs two identical cores in lockstep and compares their output every cycle — if they ever disagree, the part halts into a known-safe state instead of executing a corrupted instruction. That single design decision is the whole reason a customer picks Talus over a cheaper single-core part: it is aimed at safety-rated industrial controllers where a silent single-event upset is not an acceptable failure mode.
12nm is a deliberate choice here, not a compromise — the process is mature enough that we have a decade of radiation and thermal-cycling data on it, which matters more to these customers than raw clock speed.
Qualified to IEC 61508 SIL 2; in volume production for factory automation and rail-signalling customers.
